Device Network Setup

1. Power up the device by plugging in a 5-24 VDC power supply

   • New devices without a previously set up network will enter Setup Mode automatically:
   • Previously set up devices will need to enter Setup Mode manually:

     • Double-press the reset button located inside the device 2 times within 0.4 seconds

     • Insert a paper clip/thin rod into the hole next to the screen to access the reset button

   

2. Connect your computer/phone to the device

   • In Setup Mode the device creates a wireless network that you can join

   • Go to the wireless network settings on your computer/phone to join the wireless network DataAccessTech

   DataAccessTech is not password-protected as it is active only during Setup Mode. It has no internet access, and you may get a warning from your computer/phone that there is no internet connection. You can ignore this warning.

3. Open your Internet Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.), Type "192.168.4.1" in the address/search bar, and Press Enter

   You may get a warning that this is not a secure site. You can ignore this warning as you are not on the public internet and are communicating with only your device

   

4. Your browser should load the Network Configuration Page for the device:

   

   • Wireless Network Name:

     • Name of your wireless network which is displayed when your computer/phone connects to the network

     • Case sensitive and must be typed exactly as displayed

   • Wireless Network Password:

     • Password for your wireless network

     • Case sensitive

   • Time Zone Difference from UTC (hours):

     • Converts the UTC time to your current time zone to show when the last reading was completed

     • Impacts the date and time diplayed on only the device screen

     • Device records all data in UTC

     • Device will not adjust to account for daylight savings time

       • Western Australia: +8 hours

       • Australia's Eastern States:

         • +10 hours (no daylight savings)

         • +11 hours (daylight savings)

   

5. Press the "Write Configuration" button

   • Device will display a screen indicating the parameters have been set and automatically restart

   

6. Device should begin recording readings

   If the device does not display a date, time, and reading, then refer to Device Troubleshooting
