Device Troubleshooting

Potential Error Screens:

• 

  • Network has not yet been set

  • Follow the Device Network Setup

• 
  • Device unable to connect to the network
  • Network name or password were entered incorrectly => Repeat Device Network Setup
  • Device may be out of range of the network, or obstacles are interfering with the network connection => Reposition the device to improve network reception
• 
  • Device unable to retrieve the time from the internet
    • Device must apply a time stamp to the data to begin collection
  • Check with your network adminstrator to ensure device can access the internet
  • Ensure device is allowed to use NTP (network time protocol) on port 123
• 
  • Device unable to collect data to send to the database

  • Temperature and Humidity Model:

    • Problem with the temperature sensor or the communications with the temperature sensor
    • Ensure the sensor is plugged in completely
    • Contact Data Access Tech for additional support

  • Environmental Chamber Model:

    • Problem with the connection to the environmental chamber controller
    • Ensure the communication cable is connected at both ends
    • Ensure the chamber controller is set up correctly for communicaton with the device

  • UPS Model:

    • Problem with the connection to the UPS
    • Ensure the serial cable is connected to the back of the UPS and to the device
